About The Anti-Diet Dietitian

I know that healing from disordered eating or an eating disorder is not easy.

In fact, it could be the hardest thing you do in your life.

By learning about attuned eating, weight stigma, and health at every size, you can:

*Learn to make peace with food
*Improve your body image
*Nourish your body adequately in order to support good health
*Move your body in a way that feels joyful and natural
*Have energy, time, and desire to think about things outside of food/body

Welcome!

I’m Brandy, a registered dietitian, Health at Every Size practitioner, and author of The Anti-Diet Workbook. I’ve been a dietitian for 8 years and specialize in eating disorders.

I graduated from Washington State University in 2016 with a Masters of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. Unfortunately, I did a lot of harm in the early part of my career – especially when counseling in a weight loss clinic. But working in this setting did show me one thing (which I  can also confirm from personal experience):

DIETS DON’T WORK! In fact, research shows that over 95% of intentional weight loss attempts fail.

Which is why I now practice Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) through an Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size lens.

I believe that you deserve weight-inclusive health care (meaning your providers should not judge your health based on your weight or BMI). I truly believe that a person can be healthy at any body size.
